ABOUT US

Mountain High Furniture is owned and operated by John and Wendy Powers.  John is in charge of the shop where he designs and builds our line of wood furniture.  Along with our wood furniture, we also offer a leather furniture collection from another manufacturer called the Old West Collection.  Wendy works closely with this manufacturer to design new pieces and can help you with leather selections and the ordering process.  If you don't want to design something yourself, you can simply order one of our designs.

John's first encounter with wood working was when he was in the U.S. Navy and was trained to be a pattern maker.  He found that he enjoyed working with wood and perfected his craft over the next 25 years by building cabinets and furniture.  Furniture building appealed to him as it allowed him to use his artistic side.

 

His dream of having his own furniture business finally came true when he started up Mountain High Furniture at the beginning of 2011.  Early 2023, we moved ourselves and the business from Colorado to Wyoming.  John is currently working on new designs as well as orders from his Mountain High Furniture line. Pictures of new pieces will be posted as they are built, so please check back with us.

Along with our new showroom in Sundance, we will also continue introducing our products online and at exhibitor tradeshows, such as the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show in Las Vegas.
